Digital DNA Blobs

Playing with Digital DNA Critters:

You can pick up critters and eggs with the mouse.
You can move around with wasd or arrows.
You can NOT turn.
You can fall off the edge into nothingness.

Step 1) pick up a critter and push it into another critter. One or both critters will lay an egg.
Step 2) pick up egg and place on yellow circle thing to hatch. Hatching takes 20 seconds
Step 3) Wait another 10 seconds or so for your first pair to be ready to breed again.
Step 4) repeat step 1.

What is happening:
Each spiky bug/critter/minion has 2 strands of digital DNA.
Each strand of dDNA has 3 genes.
Each gene is either dominant (produces a color pigment), or recessive (does not produce a color pigment).
Your starting pair have red blue and green genes, 1 dominant and one recessive of each. They are in different orders.
When you cross the bug things they each donate a strand of dna, but sometimes they have a cross over error in the process. This can result in a green gene being replaced by an extra red gene.

Try experimenting with your crosses to get as many colors as you can. Cross over rate is set to 50%
